Become a Life Saver!
LifeAct’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) has a terrific group of motivated high school students from all over Northeast Ohio who volunteer their time to help our organization in many ways. Our YAB supports LifeAct in its important suicide prevention work by serving as teen consultants and ambassadors for LifeAct and engaging in awareness building and fundraising activities. They also provide important input on LifeAct’s programming and marketing outreach materials. We welcome all high school students who share in our mission to help save young lives!

Have Fun Helping Others!
Our YAB members:
Have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with high school students from all over Northeast Ohio
Experience how a not-for-profit organization works.
Feel good about helping others
Your school will probably accept LifeAct/YAB service for community service hours.
We hope you agree that LifeAct’s Youth Advisory Board sounds like a unique and fun opportunity for you to make a difference.
PLEASE NOTE: LifeAct’s Youth Advisory Board is not a peer-to-peer counseling group. The most important way a teen can act to save another teen’s life is by letting a trusted adult know someone is at risk for suicide so that person can be connected to a mental health professional. That is the LIFE-ACT and we seek teens who will help us spread this important message to other teens!
Our Youth Advisory Board helps us to reduce
the stigma associated with depression and mental illness.
